We’re looking for a motivated, reliable, and safety-conscious Night Shift Production Operative to join our team and play a key role in producing the steel cages used in concrete piling. What you'll be doing Working nights as part of a small team producing welded steel cages for dayshift to cast concrete piles. Operating an automated welding machine to produce cages of various lengths and sizes. Preparing moulds and ensuring they’re ready for casting with concrete. Be Health and Safety conscious and aware of any impact your actions may be having on the environment. Work as part of a small flexible team, primarily producing steel wire cages for precast piles but to also occasionally undertake other functions and responsibilities that meet the needs of department. Meet production targets set daily to ensure processes run without any unplanned downtime and efficiently. Keeping records of shift performance and downtime. Be reliable, dependable and a good timekeeper. Complete quality inspections to ensure work is completed to a safe standard. Who we're looking for Basic numeracy and literacy skills. Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment. Experience with overhead cranes, forklifts, or welding is desirable. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Flexible and adaptable, willing to support the team as priorities change. Friendly, approachable, and an effective communicator who thrives in a team environment and builds positive working relationships. Eligible to work and live in the UK. Hours of work are typically 6:00pm to 5:00am Monday to Friday, however flexibility and weekend work are required. 22 days holiday plus bank/public holidays.
