About The Role

Contract Type: Permanent Full Year or TTO - flexible for the right candidate

Working Hours: Flexible working pattern and hours for the right candidate

Number of positions: 1
Start Date: ASAP after DBS and references received
Salary: £24,796 per annum Full Time Equivalent - pro-rata if reduced hours


About the Candidate

We are looking for someone to join our team, who:

* NVQ Level 2 in Childcare or equivalent.
* Practical knowledge of child development and child related issues.
* An awareness of the play principles.
* Experience of working with children and parents, and planning, initiating, organising and developing play.
* Ability to liaise effectively with others involved in working with children across the whole age range of centre users.
* Ability and willingness to acquire knowledge of relevant legislation and procedures.
* To communicate in a helpful and sensitive manner with children and adults
* Ability to identify and meet children’s needs both individually and within a group using the Birth to three Matters framework and the Foundation Stage Curriculum.
* The ability to record information accurately
* Willingness to abide by the City Council’s ‘No Smoking’, ‘Harassment at Work’, ‘Equal Opportunities' and other policies.
* Team working skills.
