Location: Royal Edinburgh Hospital, Edinburgh, Scotland.
Post: Fixed term, full time (40 hours per week) or part time – 10 weekly sessions. NHS Lothian supports less than full time; prospective part‑time candidates should contact consultants to discuss options.
Scope: Service covers approximately 337,000 adults aged 18‑65, four sectors and five inpatient wards. The team includes the Intensive Home Treatment Team and a 24/7 emergency assessment service. Three Specialty Doctors are currently in post; this role will add one per sector and an additional post in Braids.
The successful applicant will join well‑staffed teams with nursing, psychology and allied health professionals, providing dedicated ward input. The post does not carry educational approval and will not be recognised for training.
