Robert Half Finance & Accounting are currently recruiting for a small but growing business based in Gloucester who are looking for an Interim Part-time Accounts Assistant to join them for a period of 4-6 months.
Role: Part-Time Accounts Assistant - Gloucester
Location: Gloucester
Working pattern & hours: 20 hours per week. Initially based for training then min 1 day per week in the office.
Start date: 30th September
Money: £28,000 - £35,000 - Depending on relevant experience/quals (Hourly rate equivalent)
Responsibilities:
* Reconcile historical activity
* Work with the FD to devise a full suite of basic accounting processes and procedures
* Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile accounts
* Prepare and process invoices - Sales & purchase ledger
* Assist with monthly/quarterly VAT returns
* Nominal ledger Journals
* Generate ad-hoc financial reports
* Ad hoc financial tasks as required to assist the wider team and business
Skills/experience needed:
* Previous varied experience in an SME all round accounting role
* Willingness to work in a changing environment
* Ability to use initiative and problem solve
* Team player attitude and strong work ethic
* Exceptional organisational and time management skills
* Effective communication skills
