Robert Half Finance & Accounting are currently recruiting for a small but growing business based in Gloucester who are looking for an Interim Part-time Accounts Assistant to join them for a period of 4-6 months.
Role: Part-Time Accounts Assistant - Gloucester
Location: Gloucester
Working pattern & hours: 20 hours per week. Initially based for training then min 1 day per week in the office.
Start date: 30th September
Money: £28,000 - £35,000 - Depending on relevant experience/quals (Hourly rate equivalent)
Responsibilities:
1. Reconcile historical activity
2. Work with the FD to devise a full suite of basic accounting processes and procedures
3. Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile accounts
4. Prepare and process invoices - Sales & purchase ledger
5. Assist with monthly/quarterly VAT returns
6. Nominal ledger Journals
7. Generate ad-hoc financial reports
8. Ad hoc financial tasks as required to assist the wider team and business
Skills/experience needed:
9. Previous varied experience in an SME all round accounting role
10. Willingness to work in a changing environment
11. Ability to use initiative and problem solve
12. Team player attitude and strong work ethic
13. Exceptional organisational and time management skills
14. Effective communication skills
