Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (One to One support) Employment Status: Temporary role Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Term time plus 5 inset days Actual Salary: Grade 4 £22,314 - £23,393 pro rata, per annum Full time equivalent salary: Support Staff Scale Grade 4 (FTE £25,989 - £29,540) Required: As soon as possible Location: Blue Coat C of E School, Coventry About the role We are seeking to appoint a motivated individual to provide support to students on a one-to-one basis in class, and through structured intervention activities. As appropriate, the selected candidate will adapt resources to the support the needs of the students, liase with parents/carers to provide regular feedback and provide reports on pupils progress. Main duties and responsibilities of the job include: Supervise students on Supported Study periods in the Hub Inclusion area as directed, ensuring they have appropriate work set and are completing studies to the correct standard Supervise students during social time in a designated space as directed; be proactive in providing activities or structure to engage students during this time Escort and supervise students where required, such as supporting students at the start of lessons, or supervising medical students in the canteen Advise the SENDCo and the assistant SENDCo on matters relating to SEND student Work with teaching staff to plan, review or develop resources for students; Represent Inclusion when required in curriculum or pastoral meetings Advocate for students with SEND; Attend regular CPD as required by the school, and other optional relevant CPD to develop good practice. All staff are expected to know what to do if they have concerns about a child, take on the responsibility for providing a safe environment and promoting children’s welfare, undertake regular safeguarding and child protection training and, familiarise themselves with KCSIE part 1 and local policies and procedures as directed by the trust/academy.
