About the Role

We are seeking an organised and customer-focused Customer Services Advisor (Admin & Clerical, Grade 3) to join our team. This role is key to ensuring that customers receive an excellent standard of service, while supporting a range of administrative and clerical functions. The successful candidate will provide front-line advice, handle enquiries, and carry out essential office tasks to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide professional customer service by handling enquiries via telephone, email, and face-to-face.
* Accurately record information, process requests, and update systems in line with procedures.
* Carry out a range of administrative and clerical duties including filing, scanning, and data entry.
* Support colleagues and managers with documentation, correspondence, and general office duties.
* Ensure customer interactions are dealt with in a timely and courteous manner.
* Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior staff where appropriate.
* Work collaboratively with team members to achieve service standards and targets.
* Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations at all times.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Essential Skills & Experience:

* Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role.
* Strong IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to manage workloads effectively and prioritise tasks.
* Attention to detail and accuracy in all record-keeping.
* Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

Desirable:

* Experience working in a public service or call centre environment.
* Knowledge of CRM systems or case management software.
* Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and service demands.

Pre-Employment Requirements

* Proof of Right to Work in the UK.
* Satisfactory employment references.
