This role carries a highly attractive £2,500 sign-on bonus when joining Freedom. (£1,250 payable in the first month of employment and £1,250 after successful completion of the probationary period.)

Summary
Freedom Networks is looking for a Chargehand Linesman who will be field based. The main purpose of this role is to work in a team to achieve delivery to time, safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications. The role reports directly to a Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Install, build, and refurbish overhead lines at various voltages – LV, 11kV up to 33kV.
2. Carry out all work in accordance with the standards, policies, and procedures of Freedom and its customers.
3. Maintain and develop own competence in accordance with legislative changes and customer requirements.
4. Provide guidance to and work as part of a team to ensure the safe, effective, and efficient implementation of Freedom’s operations.
5. Convey instructions or messages to team members as directed by your Manager.
6. Provide guidance on and monitor your team’s approach to safety rules and procedures.
7. Liaise with third parties to ensure smooth implementation of work.
8. Maintain awareness of and conform to Freedom’s SHEQ policy and safety instructions.
9. Maintain site safety at all times and complete daily risk assessments where required.
10. Conform to all instructions stated in method statements and risk assessments.
11. Ensure that accidents and near misses are suitably reported.
12. Report any SHEQ concerns to the SHEQ team and your Manager.
13. Implement and adhere to Freedom’s values.
14. Complete all work to high standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Full Driving Licence
* First Aid
* Manual Handling

* Winch Operation
* IPAF 1b MEWP Operation
* NRSWA Operative
* City & Guilds 2322
* Chainsaw Certification
* DNO Authorization (up to 33kV & Live Line Working, Polarity Training, Sub-Station Entry)
* Safe Digging Techniques
* Environmental Awareness
* CDM Awareness
* Risk Assessment Training
* Safety Marshall Training
* Freedom Supervisor Training
Experience:
* Minimum 5 years practical experience in Overhead Lines works up to 33kV.
* Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and its practical implications.
* Strong communication skills.
* Excellent team worker skills.
