Closing Date 2025-12-15 Job Title: Senior Authorised Engineer Location: Durrington/Falmer (Hybrid Working) Contract Type: Permanent Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday) Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum (depending on experience) About the Role We’re looking for a technical expert to take ownership of all things electricity across our Water operations. This newly created position offers a unique opportunity to lead, influence, and make a lasting impact on how we manage electrical systems and safety. As our Senior Authorised Engineer, you will act as a delegated authority Electrical Duty Holder and provide strategic leadership across our MEICA operations. You’ll ensure compliance with statutory regulations, oversee high-voltage systems, and keep our people safe. This is a pivotal role in our transformation journey, where your expertise will help us deliver safe, reliable services to millions of customers. What you will be responsible for: Own and lead all electrical safety responsibilities across Water Resources & Production. Manage health and safety risks, particularly those associated with high-voltage systems. Line manage a team of three technical experts in mechanical and electrical engineering, providing guidance and development. Track and manage electrical risks—from quick fixes to major investment decisions. Act as the technical escalation point for electrical safety issues. Maintain and update our Electrical Safety Rule Book and competency frameworks. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure best-in-class safety standards. Additional Requirements: Participation in incident support rotas may be required and will be discussed during the interview process.
