Management Accountant – Finance Manager Location : Newcastle upon Tyne (fully office-based, 5 days per week) Salary : £50,000–£60,000 benefits Job Type : Full-time, permanent Latham & Bond Recruitment Group are recruiting for a PE-backed healthcare group with a rapidly expanding national presence. As the company scales, they’re looking to appoint a Finance Manager with a strong management accounting background to own the monthly reporting cycle, deliver robust financial insight, and act as a key finance business partner to the senior leadership team. This is a high-impact role with direct exposure to the CEO and a clear pathway toward FD-level responsibilities. You’ll play a central role in improving processes, driving performance visibility, and leading the implementation of a new finance system to support future growth. Key Responsibilities Management accounting and reporting Take full ownership of the monthly management accounts process across multiple entities Prepare and present variance analysis, KPIs, and board packs to leadership Lead budgeting and reforecasting cycles, partnering with operational leaders Ensure timely and accurate reporting of performance metrics Financial operations and controls Oversee day-to-day finance operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance Monitor working capital, cash flow forecasting, and cost control Support year-end processes and assist with audit preparation and delivery Strategic support and business partnering Provide commercial analysis to support strategic decisions and business cases Act as a key partner to the CEO and department heads, translating financial data into actionable insights Contribute to investment planning, pricing models, and resource allocation Systems and process development Drive automation and efficiency across finance workflows Lead the rollout of a new finance system Help define the finance function structure and support future team growth Skills and Attributes Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) At least 5 years’ experience in management accounting or commercial finance Proven track record in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning Comfortable working in a fast-paced, scale-up environment Strong Excel and systems knowledge (experience with implementations is a plus) Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Self-starter with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset Desire and capability to step into broader leadership over time If you're looking for a commercially focused finance role in a fast-growing, PE-backed business, with the opportunity to make a real strategic impact, we’d love to hear from you.
