Responsibilities of a Senior Practitioner within the Intake and Assessment Team:
12. The team completes a range of assessments, conducts section 487 enquiries and establishes whether longer term plans are required for families
13. Involved in issuing court proceedings where needed
14. The team is fast paced where no day is the same
15. Able to offer empathetic support to families who have just been referred to the service, families in these circumstances are often in crisis
16. Supervise less experienced social workers and practitioners to achieve positive outcomes for children and families
17. Lead on complex cases and chair key meetings such as case reviews and core group meetings
18. Collect and analyse information and present your findings at strategic meetings
19. Monitor and assess the quality of work carried out by social workers
20. Carry out case reviews and provide feedback to improve social workers' skills and practice
21. Model good practice for less experienced social workers and support their well-being
Requirements:
22. Social Work Qualification
23. 3+ years experience of working within a similar setting
24. Supervisory/Senior Social Worker experience
25. Social Work Wales registration or eligible to apply
26. A passion for achieving the best outcomes for children through direct work
27. A creative and innovative approach
