Are you an enthusiastic and compassionate Early Career Teacher (ECT) with a passion for working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you have a special interest in supporting students with learning, communication, and sensory needs? We have a fantastic opportunity for you!
Veritas Education are working with a cluster of Special Educational Needs settings around the Leeds and West Yorkshire area, looking to recruit an SEN teacher for September 2025. The role is as follows…
Tailoring lessons to suit the individual needs of students, focusing on their academic, emotional, and sensory development.
Working with a variety of tools and techniques to enhance communication, whether verbal, non-verbal, or sensory based.
Promoting an inclusive classroom where all students feel valued and supported in their learning journey.
Working alongside SENCo's, teaching assistants, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for each child.Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status
Experience teaching and delivering lesson content to a range of SEN/Learning needs
Comfortable adapting lessons to meet varying needs and manage behaviour
Work alongside support, teaching, SLT and healthcare staff in providing a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
Knowledge around Makaton, PECS and other communication techniques is preferred
Full time from September 2025 and full UK teaching qualification (Essential)
