Job title: Transport Container Planner - Days
Location: Grays, Essex
Salary: Up to £52,000 per year + Generous Bonus Scheme + Overtime Opportunities
Shifts: Monday to Friday - Day shifts
Responsibilities
* Plan and manage daily transport routes for a fleet of 50+ vehicles
* Book port slots using VBS (Vehicle Booking System)
* Utilise Transport Management Systems (TMS) for scheduling and tracking
* Work with online shipping line portals for container instructions and restitution
* Communicate with drivers, depots, ports, and customers
* React to operational changes and resolve planning issues quickly
* Ensure compliance with driver hours and WTD regulations
Requirements
* Experience in container transport planning (essential)
* Good knowledge of VBS systems and container restitution processes
* Confident using online shipping line portals
* Proficiency in TMS software
* Excellent geographical knowledge of the UK
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Able to work efficiently under pressure
