Company Overview
Insight Talent Partners is currently looking to recruit a SAP Developer for a well-established Distribution firm based in Yorkshire. This is a role with plenty of opportunity to learn and progress into a senior developer role, our client is an organisation that is passionate about developing and empowering its people, in 2025 alone they internally promoted over 100 members of their teams.
The successful candidate will demonstrate high technical proficiency and motivation in the creation and delivery of SAP solutions.
The SAP Developer works with the Solution Architect, Business Analysts and other members of the team to develop and configure the SAP software in line with best practices.
The team mantra is to stick as close to standard as possible. Custom developments should be modular and reusable rather than monolithic solutions.
The day to day will be roughly 80% new project work and 20% BAU. The business is Planning to upgrade to S4 in the near future, so if you work on an older version of SAP and want to work with the latest version this is a good opportunity for you.

Key Role Responsibilies:
* Developing and configuring SAP software.
* Taking customer requirements, creating technical design specification from concept through to realisation.
* Completion of sprint goals on time and schedule.
* Assisting Business Analysts with complex support queries.
Key Measures of Performance:
* Cycle time for bugs, new requests and support.
* Velocity and throughput – how much is delivered and unblocked.
* Quality of deliverables.
Experience & Knowledge
* 2+ years of ABAP coding (Eclipse)
* Understanding of XML/JSON and similar communication formats
* SQL and general SAP Database structure
* HTTP and REST web services
Beneficial but not essential experience & knowledge
* XI/PI/PO Integration
* SAP configuration skills in CRM/SD/FI
* Gateway integration
* CRM and BSP, WebDynpro, BoL
* IDOC Development
* Workflow
* HANA and or S/4 HANA
