We provide specialist technical support on complex network security and cyber security deployments for all UK contracts. This role builds relationships, meets expectations, liaises with customers and vendors, and directs support staff.
Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver industry‑leading platforms and share skills.
* Act as a cyber incident decision maker, ensuring mitigation controls and incident response are appropriate.
* Provide security advice and remediation to lines of business within BT and to external customers.
* Complete and own integration testing on new products and services, producing all relevant supporting documentation.
* Support team leader and line manager.
* Ensure full awareness of safeguarding sensitive customer information.
Qualifications
* Hands‑on engineer with expertise in at least one of the following platforms or programmes: Comptia Network + & Security +, Fortinet, Cisco ASA & FirePower, Palo Alto, Azure / AWS, Python, Go, Bash, Native Cloud Security, Linux/Unix OS, Windows OS.
* Knowledge of TCP/IP & OSI seven‑layer model and data network structure.
* Knowledge of best engineering practices and continuous delivery.
* Current clearances: MPS, NPPV3, and SC.
