The Role – Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant
Responsibilities
* Work closely with students aged 11–16 who have learning difficulties, autism spectrum conditions, ADHD, and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs.
* Provide 1:1 and small-group support, adapt learning resources, and promote emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
* Support students with challenging behaviour with resilience, empathy, and consistency.
Ideal Candidate – Qualifications
* 2:1 degree or higher (Psychology or related disciplines desirable).
* Calm, empathetic, and resilient personality.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust with pupils.
* Experience in SEN, youth mentoring, sports coaching, or care is beneficial but not essential.
* Must be eligible to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available).
