Our client is one of the UK’s longest established specialist air hygiene and water treatment solution providers.
Operating on a national basis, they work with a range of clients within High-Security establishments, Healthcare, Local Government, Education, and more.
With their Head Office based in Bristol, our client has specialist teams of technicians across the UK. They are growing and looking for key people to join their journey.
The Air Technicians, employed by our client, are required to test fire dampers, maintain air handling units, ventilation, and extract cleaning.
Air Technicians are also required to carry out duties in accordance with relevant industry legislation and standards. The job may occasionally involve water hygiene work, such as monthly water monitoring, tank cleaning, TMV servicing, disinfections, showerhead descales, and water sampling.
The role involves travel and occasional overnight stays.
Given that the client predominantly works on high-security sites, successful candidates will need security vetting, ranging from a baseline enhanced DBS check to high-level security clearance (CTC).
Key tasks include:
Ensuring work is conducted in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Safe Systems of Work (SSW), Method statements, and Risk Assessments.
Carrying out Fire Damper testing and inspections.
Installation of access doors.
Maintenance of Air Handling Units.
Grease hygiene cleaning and readings.
Cleaning ductwork and ventilation systems.
AHU corrosion treatment.
Maintaining accurate paperwork, including timesheets, expenses, survey forms, and job sheets.
Occasional water hygiene work.
Requirements
Experience in working in the Air hygiene industry.
Experience of ductwork/fire damper testing/installations
Some experience working in water hygiene beneficial.
Understanding of working with TR19
Ideally experience in one or more of the following: Machinery maintenance and/or servicing, building maintenance/construction and worked around equipment in plant rooms.
Strong Health & Safety knowledge and experience with a practical approach on site
Happy to work at height or confined spaces where required.
Ideally applicants will have some field-based experience.
Good communication skills, able to work to deadlines.
Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal
Willing to work occasional unsocial hours and be flexible to travel or stay away.
Full driving licence
You will be predominantly working in the South. Ideally you will be located around the Bristol, Swindon area.
