Base: Anticipated that travel to site may be required up to 3 days a week. Homeworking for the remainder of the time.
Join our Property and Asset Management team and be part of an innovative and exciting service focusing on targeting and delivering important local developments and ventures; driving revenue income growth and making lasting improvements to our towns and villages.
In your role as Building Surveyor (Capital Projects) within the Maintenance and Compliance team, you will play a key part in the service, ensuring the Councils' property portfolios are future-proofed, and assets are safe and secure and effectively managed to deliver the Councils' ambitions.
We are looking for a pro-active, high performing, self-motivated and organised individual who is able to efficiently manage their time, demonstrate initiative, and work under pressure. You will have experience of dealing with a varied commercial and council operational property portfolio, carrying out complex surveys and providing sound technical knowledge and advice. Your role will be focused on managing capital improvement projects to a high standard, ensuring delivery of projects on time and within budget, as well as maintenance works, ensuring works are appropriately specified, prioritised and procured and meet relevant standards.
The successful candidate will have strong all round communication skills to build positive working relationships within the organisation as well as with external partners, tenants, and other Council departments.
