The Space, Defence and Intelligence business unit in CGI is a true IT Systems Integrator. In this role, you will work within a cross-functional team to define, document, and deliver support models and service design for a critical Defence cloud platform. Responsibilities include interpreting user needs, stakeholder requirements, creating artefacts for seamless service delivery, developing SLAs, support levels, incident flows, and ensuring system reliability, scalability, and compliance with Defence standards. You will also shape test strategies, capture early-life support metrics, and help establish a robust operating model for sustainability. This role offers ownership, creativity in process design, and a chance to impact Defence operations directly.
Key responsibilities:
1. Lead & Innovate: Define service levels and KPIs, translating requirements into measurable SLAs.
2. Engage & Collaborate: Work with Defence stakeholders to capture needs and align support models with business processes.
3. Develop & Deliver: Produce high-quality service design documents covering support scope, service flows, and responsibilities.
4. Shape & Support: Contribute to test strategy and plan development aligned with migration activities.
5. Communicate & Influence: Present clear documentation to stakeholders, adapting content as needed.
6. Optimise & Adapt: Ensure service delivery models are suitable for multi-tenant, multi-national cloud environments.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in IT service design and transition, ideally within Defence or regulated sectors.
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to translate complex requirements into support models.
* Understanding of cloud-based services (IaaS/SaaS).
* Excellent communication and documentation skills.
* Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team.
* Leadership qualities and a collaborative mindset.
Desired qualifications:
* Experience within Defence environments.
* Knowledge of Business Strategy.
* ITIL Service Transition - Level 4 or equivalent.
