Senior Health and Social Care Support Worker – NHS Highland

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the East Caithness Health and Social Care Team. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working with patients in their own homes to provide holistic care. Your primary responsibility will be to provide support and assistance to service users to maximise and maintain their independence. The post holder needs to be flexible and able to use their own initiative. The post-holder will provide high standards of patient care in support of the team to ensure delivery of a high-quality service to the local community.
Experience is not required, although it is beneficial. Full training will be provided and the applicant will have the opportunity to complete an SVQ in Health & Social Care.
A full driving licence is essential for this post and applicants should have access to their own vehicle for work purposes.
This is a permanent part-time post of 17.27 hours per week, working 5:00pm – 10:00pm on a rota basis of 4 days on 4 days off or as per service requirements.
This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a visa or sponsorship. NHS Highland is unable to provide candidates with a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).
Responsibilities
* Provide support and assistance to service users to maximise and maintain independence.
* Deliver high standards of patient care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
* Work with patients in their own homes to support care delivery and community-based services.
* Be flexible and use own initiative to meet service needs.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Full driving licence and access to own vehicle for work purposes (essential).
* Experience not required but beneficial.
* Opportunity to complete an SVQ in Health & Social Care.
