Self employment mechanics We are seeking a skilled and dedicated General Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical repairs and maintenance, demonstrating the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. This role is crucial in ensuring that all machinery and equipment operate smoothly, contributing to the overall productivity of our operations.
Duties
* Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on various types of machinery and equipment.
* Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
* Perform preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
* Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and safety standards are met.
* Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and inventory of parts.
* Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
* Assist in the installation of new equipment as needed.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar role within a mechanical environment.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and diagnostic equipment.
* Ability to read technical manuals and schematics effectively.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
* A relevant qualification or certification in mechanics or engineering is preferred but not essential.
