Sales Manager – Agricultural Supplies - £45,000 – £55,000 per annum. South West England (Exeter based with regional travel)
The Job
This is a great opportunity for a driven and hands on sales professional to take on a key role within a busy depot environment. As Sales Manager you’ll be at the centre of commercial activity — developing new business, strengthening customer relationships and supporting day to day depot performance. This role offers a mix of field sales and on site involvement, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and being close to both customers and operations.
Key responsibilities
* Identify and secure new business opportunities to drive sales growth
* Build strong relationships with customers through regular contact and visits
* Plan and manage your territory effectively to maximise time and coverage
* Prepare and follow up on quotations, ensuring competitive pricing and strong conversion rates
* Support customers on-site and over the phone with product queries and orders
* Process orders and coordinate deliveries with internal teams
* Assist in managing key accounts and resolving customer issues professionally
* Represent the business at trade shows, open days and industry events

The Candidate
* Experience in B2B sales, account management or business development
* Background within agriculture or fencing would be highly advantageous
* Commercially aware, with confidence in negotiating and closing deals
* Strong relationship building skills with a customer-focused approach
* Comfortable managing multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment
* Good IT skills, including experience with CRM systems
* Excellent communication skills
* Willingness to be hands‑on, including occasional physical and outdoor work
* Positive, proactive and team‑oriented mindset
