As a Puchasing Assistant you will assist with the purchasing process for scientific supplies and equipment ensuring accurte and timely procrement of needed materials. This will include tasks such as processing purchase orders, managing vendor relationship and maintaining thorough records. A
Responsibilities:
Purchase Order Processing: Assisting with the creation, processing, and tracking of purchase orders.
Vendor Management: Supporting vendor selection, evaluation, and communication.
Record Keeping: Ensuring accurate and organized filing of supplier documentation.
Goods Receiving: Assisting with the receiving process for purchased goods and services.
Internal Communication: Liaising with internal customers to provide updates on order status.
Compliance: Ensuring procurement activities adhere to company policies and procedures.
Data Analysis: May assist with analyzing procurement data to identify trends and opportunities.
Research: Conducting research on potential suppliers and products.
Skills and Qualifications you will possess include:
Procurement Knowledge: Understanding of procurement processes and procedures with a minimum 12 months experience of working as a Purchasing Assistant
Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in purchase orders and other documentation.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and identify trends.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with relevant software and systems.
