Senior Nuclear Medicine Practitioner / Radiographer
Location: Royal Stoke University Hospital, Stoke on Trent
Main duties of the job
Work as a Senior Nuclear Medicine Practitioner / Radiographer, actively involved in all aspects of technical work required for imaging, non‑imaging, in‐vitro counting, therapeutic and radiopharmacy procedures. Work within a multidisciplinary team of administrators, technologists, radiographers, nurses, physicists and clinicians.
Rotate through all areas of the department, including radiopharmacy and PET‑CT.
Work without supervision, supervise junior qualified and unqualified staff, take part in workload organisation, providing guidance to junior staff and liaising with senior technologists, medical, nursing and secretarial staff as necessary. When required, act as the daily operational lead for the department.
Qualifications
* Experience working in Nuclear Medicine
* Experience working in radiopharmacy
* Experience working in PET‑CT
* Cannulation and injection competence
* Experience in SPECT‑CT imaging
* Experience with a broad range of nuclear medicine and PET CT procedures
* Experience acting as a senior member of a Nuclear Medicine department
* Experience in training staff
* Degree in Radiography or a related subject
* PgDip
* HCPC registered or eligible for the Register of Clinical Technologists (RCT)
