LOCATION : Dover, Kent
TERM : ongoing role/possible Temp to Perm
HOURS : 7pm to 7am | 4 nights on/4 nights off
Do you have a background in Logistics, Transport or Customs? Are you available immediately? Office Angels are proud to be supporting this established Logistics company in Dover in recruiting an additional Customs Clerk to support their busy night shift team. This is a temporary role starting almost immediately for a minimum of 3 months, however there could be permanent roles on offer for the right candidate.
The key duties in your new role would be:
* Preparation and processing of Import & Export Customs declarations and clearance notifications
* Customs import/export entry checking
* Deal with all enquiries and queries quickly and efficiently relating to customs procedures, tariff classifications, duty rates and any other documentation requirements
* Interact with customers, both face-to-face or by telephone/email in a professional and courteous manner
* Liaise with customers, Importers & Exporters and others to obtain mandatory information for Import and Export declarations
* Deal with Customs queries relating to live declarations
* Maintain data integrity on all systems
* Upload job information into in-house Transport Monitoring System
* Support and advise all customers whilst ensuring the company is fully compliant with the requirements of HMRC and other relevant bodies
