We are currently looking to recruit an Inventory Manager to join our Northern division, to co ordinate, manage and run an efficient inventory team supporting the branch network, along with a close supporting relationship with transport / operations and sales teams.
What you’ll be doing:
* Direct the team to add value, maintain stock budgets and reduce SLOBS effectively.
* Develop an excellent understanding and command of the inventory management tools & operating system (Excel driven).
* Maximise capabilities of the ERP system and inventory tools to reach & exceed targeted service levels.
* Forge solid working relationships throughout the division / region to enable the implementation of change and the Stronger Together philosophy to support the delivery of mutual and aligned goals.
* Manage and update stock profiles across the division / region accounting for change in customer demand and supplier suitability.
* Releasing of purchase orders which are outside of the agreed parameters set for branches.
* Reviewing and managing defined but not exhaustive, stocks within the business.
* Purchase order reviews on a daily basis to ensure that errors are caught immediately.
* Assist in the forecasting, planning and ordering towards purchase targets for the division / region.
* Manage, control and direct SLOB stock throughout the division / region, ensuring zero change on a monthly basis.
* Identify any system issue or potential areas of system development, to aid the operation.
What you’ll bring:
* The ability to understand and address the remit of inventory control procedures using strong analytical skills.
* Proficient IT skills capable of understanding and interpreting data.
* Previous managerial experience and a strong ability to lead and motivate a team.
* Capable of delivering KPI stock targets.
* Strong customer focus both internal and external.
* Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence others and overcome challenges to deliver.
* Highly collaborative and able to work with peers but capable of dealing with resistance within the role.
* Well organised and process orientated with a commitment to learn and develop new skills to streamline processes.
