Public Building Architect– Birmingham – 12 Month Contract (37.5 hours per week) - £36.60 - £39.60 per hour (Inside IR35) – Willing to Undergo SC Clearance
Our client is looking to recruit a motivated Architect with experience in complex public building design to join their Architectural practice in Birmingham and be part of multidisciplinary team. We are looking for experience in public Sector, Rail or other transportation building design and excellent knowledge of RIBA stage 3 practices.
Our client is involved in the design and delivery of the built environment across the Education, Transportation, Commercial, Residential, Energy, Defence and Workplace sectors. You would be Part of a diverse team

Working Patterns and location – This role is based full time on site.
The Key Responsibilities of a Public Building Architect:
* Deliver architectural design work across the full project lifecycle (concept to completion)
* Work within multidisciplinary teams including engineers, designers, and consultants
* Take ownership of specific packages, roles, or workstreams within projects
* Develop pragmatic design responses aligned to client briefs and site constraints
* Produce high-quality design outputs, reports, and presentations
* Engage directly with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
* Contribute to the design culture and capability of the Architectural Practice
Below is a list of Key Skills required for a Public Building Architect, however you will not be expected to have everything:
* Sector-specific standards (e.g. Network Rail assurance where applicable)
* RIBA qualifications (Royal institute of British architects)
* CIAT accreditation (Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists)
* Network Rail standards or similar public Sector Standards
* UK Building Regulations
