My client is a fintech organisation building and enhancing high-volume, business-critical platforms. They are looking for a .NET Software Engineer with around 3-4 years' commercial experience who enjoys solving real problems, working with modern technologies, and contributing to well-engineered systems used at scale.
The Role
As a .NET Software Engineer, you will:
* Design, build and maintain backend services and APIs using C# and .NET
* Work on systems that handle high volumes of data and transactions
* Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers and testers to deliver new features
* Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code
* Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions and improvements
* Support production systems and help improve reliability and performance over time
What You'll Bring
* Around 3-4 years' experience as a software engineer working with C#/.NET
* Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles
* Experience building RESTful APIs and backend services
* Working knowledge of SQL databases (e.g. SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
* Experience with Git and modern development workflows
* Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) is a plus
* Any fintech, financial services, or regulated environment experience is beneficial but not essential
Nice to Have
* Experience with .NET Core / .NET 6+
* Knowledge of messaging systems, event-driven architecture, or background processing
* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
* An interest in performance, scalability, and system reliability
