Role Overview
The NHS Counter Fraud Authority (NHSCFA) is the national body responsible for all matters related to the prevention, detection and investigation of economic crime across the NHS.
As a Specialist Training Officer you will play a pivotal role in developing the next generation of counter fraud professionals. You will design and deliver innovative, high‑quality learning that shapes investigative practice across the NHS and the wider counter‑fraud community. This role offers the opportunity to influence national capability, lead continuous professional development and contribute to protecting vital NHS resources.
Fixed term until 31.3.27
Responsibilities
* Support NHSCFA people and external stakeholders to maintain their continued professional development in line with current policy and requirements of the Government Counter Fraud Profession.
* Analyse and assess existing skills, knowledge and competencies and develop action plans.
* Liaise with the NHSCFA Investigation Manager to identify training needs following case file and prosecution files.
* Act as a subject‑matter expert to give specialist advice to internal and external fraud investigators and agencies.
* Work in partnership with organisational stakeholders to ensure the development of the workforce and the encouragement of good practice.
Work Conditions
Offices are based in Coventry, Newcastle and London, with flexible, hybrid, office‑and‑home based working arrangements. A high‑cost area supplement may be available for work in the London area.
Security Requirement
All individuals employed by NHSCFA will be required to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standards checks to comply with HM Government Functional Standard GovS 007.
