Senior Finance Systems Accountant

Permanent + Full time (35hrs pw)

The Senior Finance Systems account role is responsible for operating, enhancing, and optimising the Group and Global Finance applications that support the areas of Group Consolidation, Planning, Regulatory and Tax reporting. The role will be reporting to the Financial Systems Manager and the Group Finance System Director.
This is an exciting opportunity, requiring you to utilise your finance and systems expertise working closely with finance users to improve reporting practices.
You’ll help us make health happen through:
1. Guiding the business to better utilisation of the technology to strengthen the efficiency of the Group Finance processes.
2. Collecting requirements, perform system assessments, and drive the implementation of changes across multiple group applications.
3. Organising monthly change request process and make the system changes through governance process and drive continuous improvement to our systems.
4. Ensuring the appropriate documentation of systems and processes and be able to provide the evidence to auditors.
5. Supporting our reporting cycles by quickly providing solutions and guidance to 400 internal global users.
6. Participating in new initiatives to identify appropriate finance and system solutions to drive the implementation to deliver benefits to the Group finance users. (e.g., embedding the IFRS17 standard, Global Planning rollout)
Key Skills needed for this role:
7. Solid technical and analytical skills, with ability to interpret & present information clearly.
8. Good experience in providing system support, delivery of systems or functionality.
9. Strong communication skills and ability to work and understand finance users and requests.
10. Familiar with User Acceptance Testing and Change Management
11. Strong finance process understanding, at least in one of the following areas: Consolidation, Planning, Solvency II, IFRS16, Reporting, Tax, Actuarial
12. Understanding of demands faced by a large global company and its financial reporting process
Desirable
13. Prior experience in Consulting will be considered as a plus.
14. Finance Qualification: CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent as a plus
15. Project management certification: PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent will be considered as a plus.
