Hays Health and Safety are excited to be hiring for a Health & Safety Advisor role with a well‑established consultancy supportingplex infrastructure and energy projects across the UK and Ireland.
This organisation has a long‑standing track record delivering advisory, engineering and consultancy services on large‑scale, regulated projects that play a key role in the evolving energy and infrastructure landscape. Their work supports developers, investors and asset owners across a wide range of capital projects,bining technical expertise with strongernance and assurance.
Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Health & Safety Advisor on a permanent basis. The role will be hybrid, with an expectation of spending two days per week in a North West office location, and the remainder of the time supporting project teams across the UK and Ireland.
The Role
You will act as a visible and trusted Health & Safety professional, supporting office‑based teams and project delivery environments. The role will involve close collaboration with technical specialists, project managers and senior stakeholders, ensuring consistent and proportionate application of health and safety standards across a diverse portfolio of work.
Key responsibilities include:
Providingpetent health and safety advice across multiple offices in England, Scotland and Ireland
Supporting project teams operating within construction and heavy industry environments
Conducting audits and inspections aligned to ISO 45001
Advising on CDM 2015 requirements, including experience aligned to Principal Contractor duties
Promoting health and safety services externally in partnership with business development teams
Chairing meetings, producing clear reports, and influencing positive safety behaviours across the organisation
What We’re Looking For
NEBOSH Qualification (Ideally Diploma level or similar)
Strong working knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and guidance
Experience within heavy industry, construction, orplex project environments
Proven ability to influence and embed a positive health and safety culture
Confidentmunicator with strong report‑writing and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to simplifyplex root‑cause and risk scenarios for non‑technical audiences
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally and occasionally overseas
A proactive, dynamic individual who isfortable being highly visible across the business
