We are currently recruiting for two Grounds Maintenance Operatives to work as part of our maintenance team across schools in Glasgow.
Job role: Grounds Maintenance Operative x 2
Pay: £12.82 p/h (PAYE)
Hours of work: 41.5 p/w, Mon - Thu 07:00 - 16:00, Fri - 07:00 - 15:00, Break - 1 x 30 minute unpaid each day only at 12pm
Start date: ASAP
Duration: Approx. 8 weeks
Location: Glasgow G5
You MUST have a valid Basic Disclosure certificate.
Job spec -
Based out of our Polmadie depot in Glasgow the role will involve being part of a mobile ground's maintenance team servicing school sites throughout the country.
Duties may include:
General maintenance, such as grass cutting, hedge trimming, clearing leaves and litter, verges,
Erect and dismantle equipment. Horticulture activities such as. planting, pruning and seeding
Setting out, making sports pitches including grass and tarmac surfaces. Upkeep of artificial, synthetic pitches. Tree care,
Painting sundry equipment,
Small civils repairs such as slabs, kerbs, manhole repairs and surface repairs.
Operate light plant and power tools Undertake vehicle, tractor, and cutting equipment checks.
