A Warehouse Operative plays a key role in the dismantling, segregation, and recovery of high-value materials from retail fixtures as part of Somervilles circular-economy and zero-waste-to-landfill commitment. The role supports efficient workshop operations, ensuring that materials, components, and equipment are handled safely, responsibly, and in line with environmental and quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesDismantle and process, fixtures, and materials in accordance with approved recycling and safety procedures.Material-handling equipment for movement, loading, and storage of components and kits.Organise and maintain recycling kits, ensuring accurate identification, labelling, and storage.Assist with data recording and traceability of materials through the recycling process.Support continuous improvement in recycling efficiency, waste reduction, and carbon-saving initiatives.Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant working environment in line with Somervilles H&S and sustainability policies.Collaborate with workshop and logistics teams to optimize flow of dismantled components and recovered materials.About YouComfortable working with hand tools and completing manual tasksReliable, punctual, and safety-focusedAble to work well within a team and follow instructionsPractical experience in warehouse, joinery, or recycling environments.
