Based in Watford, this family-run company combines traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge processes, supplying exquisite metal finishes to some of the most recognisable names in the world. As the Electroplating Manager, you'll step into a senior role within a state-of-the-art plating facility-widely regarded as the largest of its kind in the UK. You'll lead a skilled team, manage workflow, uphold quality, and drive continuous improvement across the department. What You'll Be Doing Lead and manage the plating department, supporting and motivating a skilled team Organise and run daily production meetings to plan schedules and priorities Ensure work meets the highest aesthetic and technical standards for prestigious clients Operate plating lines and monitor processes for gold, silver, rhodium, and other finishes Collaborate with the Lab Technician to test and optimise plating solutions Support technical queries and quality assurance in partnership with the Managing Director Participate in compliance activities (e.g. audits, safety checks, spill responses) Liaise across departments to troubleshoot issues and maintain smooth workflowWhat We're Looking For Proven leadership in a production or plating environment A hands-on, teachable approach and commitment to quality Strong planning, delegation, and people management skills Comfortable in a high-paced, high-standards manufacturing setting Resilient, detail-oriented, and passionate about craftsmanship Ability to stay calm under pressure and juggle changing priorities Personable and professional communicatorWhat's in It for You?
