SEN Teacher New School Opening 2026 Our client is opening a brand-new specialist school in late 2026 for children and young people aged 519 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. With a planned capacity of 72 students, the school will offer a nurturing, inclusive and aspirational environment where every learner can thrive.
They are now seeking an enthusiastic and skilled general classroom teachers (in primary and/or secondary) who aredeeply passionate about working with children. The Role As aTeacher, you'll deliver high-quality teaching and learning for our pupils, ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed. You'll plan and deliver engaging lessons, set personalised targets, and work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
* Planning and delivering differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs.
* Monitoring progress and reporting to parents, carers, and senior staff.
* Leading on a subject or curriculum area and supporting colleagues.

Skills & Qualifications
What We're Looking For:
Essential:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience of teaching a thematic curriculum within primary or secondary education
* Experience in special school settings, particularly with pupils who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
* Proven ability to deliver a differentiated curriculum to meet diverse learning needs
* Strong knowledge of the national curriculum
* Working understanding of ASC and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, including complex presentations
Desirable:
* Additional qualifications in SEND
* Experience in curriculum development for learners with SEND
* Nurturing and empathetic relationship building skills
