Purpose of Role
Essential: Suitable candidates must already have High Level Security Clearance or recently lapsed High Level Security Clearance and be a UK Sole National.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Programme Manager to join our Defence Region and support an established team delivering various projects across the MOD Built Estate in the Southeast.
You will have overall responsibility for the full life cycle of multiple projects with values ranging from £100k to £5mill.
Job Description
This is an exciting role overseeing a diverse programme of works for the MOD across a wide ranging Property Portfolio, including infrastructure project, Plant Asset renewal HVAC, Chillers, Electrical Switch Gear, CCTV and BMS, Security and fire systems. As well a room upgrades and general improvements and change of use projects.
Responsibilities
You will oversee a team comprising of Senior Project Managers, Project Managers and Junior Project Managers. You will oversee work on a wide range of new projects within the construction sector. You will be working on several projects at any one time dependent upon the scale and complexity of the project.
You’ll ensure the project lifecycle is maintained at all stages and completed on time, within budget and that agreed objectives & KPI’s are achieved.
Essential Qualifications/Skills
- Must be willing to work on site in Buckinghamshire.
- Must have extensive Senior Project management experience in Construction, Mechanical, Electrical or Civils
- Hold a CSCS Card
- Hold a valid SMSTS qualification
- Health and Safety, either IOSH or NEBOSH
- Must hold active High Level Security Clearance Or recently lapsed High Level Security Clearance
- Must be a UK Sole National and be prepared to undergo any further clearance process.
- Exceptional communication skills as you will need to interface with clients, sub-contractors, designers and customer as well as other building occupants and military personnel.
- Exceptional leadership and organisational skills as you will be overseeing multiple construction projects
- A can do attitude and be prepared to support the wider delivery team
- Must have an understanding of the RIBA phases
- Excellent commercial awareness and experience of managing a supply chain.
