This is a permanent, full-time position offering hybrid working at the Milton Keynes office(Monday to Friday).
Key Duties and Responsibilities in Employment Law
* Advising clients on all aspects of employment law, both contentious and non-contentious, including disciplinary, grievance, redundancy, TUPE, discrimination, and equal pay claims.
* Managing a varied caseload of employment tribunal litigation, from initial instruction through to final hearing, including drafting and reviewing witness statements and bundles.
* Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating employment contracts, policies, staff handbooks, settlement agreements, and contractual documentation for employers and individuals.
* Providing commercially-focussed, clear, and practical legal advice to clients on restructures, dismissals, employment status, and contractual matters.
* Delivering training to clients on key areas of employment law, including legislative changes, best practice, and workplace investigations.
* Liaising with internal colleagues, HR professionals, external counsel, and third parties to achieve successful client outcomes, always upholding high professional standards.
* Supporting the firm in the growth of the department.

Essential Skills and Experience for Employment Law Solicitors
* Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with a minimum of 5 years’ recent experience advising on employment law matters.
* Proven experience managing a mixed employment caseload and conducting employment tribunal advocacy (full or part).
* Strong understanding of UK employment law, including redundancy, TUPE, discrimination, settlement agreements, and contracts of employment.
* Strong drafting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail and a pragmatic approach to legal advice.
* Excellent written and verbal communication, demonstrating the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels.
* Good IT skills and familiarity with legal case management software and Microsoft Office applications.
* Adaptable and collaborative approach with a willingness to continue professional development in employment law.
