Are you an experienced professional with a strong background in plant operations and leadership? The NWH Group is seeking a Plant Supervisor to join our dynamic team and play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our state-of-the-art wash plant.
As the Plant Supervisor, your responsibilities will include overseeing daily plant operations, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations, and supporting site objectives related to quality and throughput. You will collaborate closely with the Wash Plant Technical Lead and Site Manager to uphold high operational standards and contribute to continuous site performance improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain a high level of safety across the site.
2. Adhere to SEPA site operating plans and environmental standards.
3. Support weekend operations as required.
4. Ensure good housekeeping throughout the site.
5. Deputise for the Wash Plant Technical Lead/Site Manager, including producing daily operational reports, conducting stock takes, updating timesheets, and ordering chemicals.
6. Work with technical leads to meet daily KPIs.
7. Control and record the use of electricity, fuel, and water.
8. Secure machinery and cabins at shift end.
9. Report breakdowns following the site escalation process.
10. Perform routine preventative maintenance and document it in the CMMS.
11. Follow company health and safety policies and procedures.
12. Monitor and maintain the quality of all produced materials.
13. Ensure compliance with testing requirements.
14. Support the smooth operation of the plant.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Excellent leadership and people management skills.
2. Strong organizational abilities.
3. Experience with quarry, cement, or recycling plant equipment.
4. Knowledge of health and safety legislation.
5. Experience with risk assessments and method statements.
6. Willing to sponsor the right candidate.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications:
1. Strong commercial acumen.
2. Knowledge of recycling facilities or aggregate wash plants.
3. IOSH Managing Safely certification.
4. CPCS tickets for 360 & Loading Shovel.
5. Mechanical skills such as bearing replacement and pump servicing.
Performance Goals:
