What we’re looking for
We’re seeking a friendly, knowledgeable, and proactive HR Consultant to join our growing team. You’ll be the go-to expert for a portfolio of clients, offering practical, tailored advice across a wide range of HR matters, from employee relations and organisational change to absence management and family leave queries. You’ll support clients with everything from drafting handbooks and calculating entitlements to delivering training and helping design reward structures. You’ll work closely with colleagues to ensure we continue delivering excellent service, even during busy periods or when colleagues are away.
This is an excellent opportunity to build strong client relationships and make a tangible impact in their organisations. You’ll also play a key role in account management, process improvement, and promoting the full range of WorkNest services. You’ll be encouraged to grow professionally through ongoing learning and development, with support from a warm, collaborative team.
About you
To thrive in this role, you should have solid generalist HR experience (in-house or consultancy), with strong knowledge of employment law and core HR processes. You’ll be confident advising on disciplinary and grievance matters, redundancy, absence, and family-friendly policies. Attention to detail, the ability to juggle priorities, and the skill to build strong client and stakeholder relationships are essential. Proficiency with calculations (e.g., pro-rated holiday or redundancy) and a proactive, people-focused mindset are also important.
We’re proud of our supportive, down-to-earth culture where collaboration, continuous learning, and doing the right thing for clients and colleagues are central. If you’re commercially minded, pragmatic, and eager to grow with a team that genuinely cares about making a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
