Overview

In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. By joining HC-One you will have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to our Residents.

As an Activities Co-ordinator, it will mean planning and implementing activities that delight our Residents, helping the Home Manager organise essential fundraising events, and engaging the care home team to promote social interaction and new activity ideas with a focus on kindness.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement activities for Residents that support their wellbeing and engagement.

• Assist the Home Manager with organising fundraising events.

• Collaborate with the care home team to encourage Residents to socialise and participate in activities.

• Contribute to developing activity ideas based on Residents’ hobbies and interests.

• Communicate with Residents and colleagues in a considerate and kind manner.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience working with vulnerable individuals, ideally in developing activity programmes.

• Positive energy, strong people skills, and the ability to get along with diverse groups.

• Excellent planning, organisational and IT skills; effective time management.

• Demonstrated safeguarding awareness and the ability to recognise signs of potential abuse, harm or neglect, and to report concerns. All colleagues must undertake safeguarding training related to their role and seek appropriate advice when needed.

Safeguarding

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You should recognise signs of possible abuse, harm or neglect, know what to do if concerns arise, and complete safeguarding training appropriate to your role. You will be supported to escalate if action is not taken.
