Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Stroud for a Proposals Engineer. The Proposals Engineer will be responsible for preparing and developing technical proposals, liaising with the engineering team to understand customer requirements, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and specifications. Daily tasks include coordinating proposal activities, compiling cost estimates, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive proposals. The role also involves interacting with clients to clarify requirements and provide technical support.

Key Accountabilities
* Preparation and management of enquiries / quotations using Manufacturing (Visual) / MS Office software & Electronic Systems. (Visual/Word/Excel/eCommerce)
* Review and interpretation of customer enquiries
* Maintain Quotation Register and File Structure, including document management of customer specifications and clarification logs with company system (DDM)
* Organisation and co-ordination of RFQ related meetings
* Create robust cost models based on various inputs
* Comply with Commercial Rules of the Road and obtain required approvals for submission of proposals
* Create & maintain price lists where appropriate
* Provide commercial guidance to the organisation, value engineering, upselling and other cost and price drivers
* Engagement with project teams on margin reviews, where necessary
* Assist when required in the arrangement of conference calls and customer meetings either at the plant or customer facilities
* Review purchase orders against quotations and assist with contractual reviews
* Participate in contract review and kick off meetings
