Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical /Counselling Psychologist/Psychological Practitioner to join the Ealing Crisis Assessment and Home Treatment Team. The team works alongside our inpatient and community mental health services to offer an increased level of support to those experiencing a mental health crisis outside of an inpatient setting. The team currently supports service users living in Ealing both in their own homes and in the Crisis Recovery House run by VCSE partners at Waythrough.

The post-holder will work collaboratively and proactively with the multi-disciplinary team to manage risk robustly and to provide a psychological perspective to the care provided. This includes assessment, formulation and brief interventions to service users and their families, and supporting the team to develop a range of psychologically informed interventions delivered across the MDT. The post holder will also contribute to reflective practice, team formulation/consultation and post-incident support.

The service is working towards accreditation from the Quality Network for Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Teams, and the post holder would be actively involved in ensuring the psychological standards are met and maintained. The post holder will supervise and line manage the Assistant Psychologists in the team and provide placement for a trainee clinical psychologist from the North London training courses. The post holder will have regular supervision from a Clinical Psychologist with experience in acute mental health settings and will be integrated into both the Ealing and acute mental health psychology services.
