Qualified Accountant - £40,000+ BlackFox Solutions are delighted to be seeking an experienced and highly motivated Accountant to join our clients established and growing accounting practice in Belfast. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing a portfolio of clients, preparing financial statements, and providing high-quality accounting and tax services to a wide range of businesses. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement corporate tax planning strategies to reduce liabilities while ensuring full compliance with HMRC requirements Advise clients on tax-efficient business structures and identify industry-specific tax reliefs and incentives Prepare and file corporation tax returns accurately; act as a liaison with HMRC on behalf of clients Produce and maintain financial accounts for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies, and non-profit organisations Manage all statutory filings with Companies House: annual accounts, confirmation statements, company incorporations or dissolutions Prepare and submit HMRC self-assessment tax returns for individuals, businesses, and partnerships Administer full payroll processes: payslip generation, RTI submissions, statutory payments, year-end documentation (P60s, P45s etc.) Ensure timely, accurate VAT return submissions, manage compliance matters, and handle cross-border reporting such as EC Sales Lists Provide expert guidance on VAT planning, support during HMRC enquiries and investigations Review and advise on clients banking and finance arrangements (loans, overdrafts), and suggest cost efficiencies in finance structuring Deliver clear, accurate financial reporting and business advice, tailored for different sectors, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and accounting standards Requirements Qualified or qualified by experience (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent preferred) Minimum of 35 years experience in an accountancy practice Strong knowledge of accounts preparation, VAT, and taxation Experience managing client relationships and handling multiple assignments Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage Strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team For more information, please get in contact or apply now and we can reach out to arrange a call.
