Job Opportunity: Head of Sales - Scotland & North East

We are seeking a Head of Sales to oversee the Scotland & North East region, reporting to the Regional Director. Your responsibilities will include developing and executing a regional sales strategy, managing Business Development Managers and Internal Sales Managers, and ensuring robust sales processes to maximize revenue.
This position requires an experienced sales leader capable of inspiring teams with passion, confidence, and credibility. You should have a proven track record of managing regional sales teams, influencing senior management, and translating strategic vision into action.

Frequent travel across the region to depots is required.
Responsibilities include:
1. Developing and maintaining customer relationships to generate business.
2. Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including new growth sectors and customers.
3. Contributing to the team’s budget planning.
4. Managing a team of sector specialists to ensure performance and consistency.
5. Overseeing key accounts within the regional sales team.
6. Acting as liaison between UK Business Unit and BlueSky for delivery, new products, and supply issues.
7. Negotiating and managing contracts at all levels.
8. Collaborating with other functions to support business development.
9. Managing risks associated with key accounts.
Ideal Candidate:
* Extensive experience in strategic sales management within plant and/or equipment hire.
* Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision-making.
* Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills at all levels, capable of delivering clear messages professionally.
