Quality Inspector

We are recruiting for an experienced Quality Inspector to join a well-established precision engineering manufacturer in Weymouth.
This permanent role is ideal for a Quality Inspector with a strong background in aerospace or defence manufacturing who is confident working to tight tolerances and strict quality standards.
As the Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring components meet customer and regulatory requirements at every stage of production. The Quality Inspector will carry out inspections, complete documentation accurately, and support the wider quality function to maintain consistent, high standards across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out First Off, In-Process, Goods Inwards, and Final Inspections
Use hand measurement tools to complete manual inspections
Record inspection results using an in-house MRP system
Prepare and complete FAIRs (First Article Inspection Reports)
Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance systems and procedures
Support continuous improvement and maintain a safe, organised work areaEssential Skills and Experience
Proven experience working as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment
Experience completing FAIRs to AS9102 standards
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Good working knowledge of GD&T
Background in inspection and/or surface treatment processesBenefits
