We are looking for an experienced General Manager who is hands-on, can influence and impact profit, and delivers exceptional customer service. This position will be responsible for the overall direction and organization of all activities and operations of the business. This position requires top-notch management skills including leadership, training, inventory and ordering controls, scheduling and meeting labour budgets, staff and management development, and a very strong background in the financial and administration aspects of the business. Must be a strong motivator and possess great interpersonal communication skills.Specific Responsibilities:The PersonMust have a minimum of 1 to 3 years in a senior-level manager role or General ManagerExperience and exposure in full-service casual diningMinimum of 8 years in food and beverageStrong knowledge of bar and labour costsStrong supervisory skills & training abilityExceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasksHave a working knowledge of financial reporting and budgetingAn understanding of controllable costs and administrative functionsThe ability to handle stress and difficult situations with tact & diplomacyMust be dependable & unquestionably honestMust be flexible with the willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as requiredAbility to work at a swift pace and take on several projects at one timeMust be highly organized and able to multi-taskPassion for great food and great wineThe ResponsibilitiesPrepares and follows detailed budgetsPreparing and submitting daily, weekly, and monthly revenue totalsHire, train, supervise, direct, coach, counsel, and evaluate staff in all areasCommunicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear direction to the staffResponsible for the overall administration of the restaurantFully accountable for all new Menu roll-outs or system changesOversees and approves all Scheduling and labour forecastsMust be able to cooperate with other departments to foster & promote a harmonious working climate to maximize productivity & efficiencyDirectly accountable to 4 to 6 managers and supervisors and up to 70 staff membersBuilds a strong team relationship with the Chef and SommelierDesigns and implements exciting and profitable food promotionsAttractions to this roleOur Client is an innovative and leading-edge company and offers:An exquisite environmentTop-quality food and serviceAn active and challenging businessLong-term vision, growth, and securityAn open, professional, and respectful environmentOpportunity for learning, growth, and career advancementOpportunity to work within a very progressive and respected organizationEntrepreneurial company, strong team orientation open leadership mentality, and great communicationExcellent Salary and tip program
