Solar PV Design Engineer X2 - Home based - Operator
Due to rapid growth in the energy sector, we have an exciting opportunity for a multi-skilled Solar PV Technical Design Engineer.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to advance their career and contribute significantly to one of the world’s leading energy suppliers.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading on designs including shading analysis, 3D modelling, electrical single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and connection diagrams, using AutoCAD software.
* Performing computer simulations of solar PV system performance to optimize efficiency.
* Reviewing and approving solar PV designs and recommending technical or process improvements.
What we need from you:
* 7-10 years of experience in Solar PV design.
* Engineering/design skills with a proven track record on various PV schemes; rooftop and ground mount.
* Familiarity with PV manufacturers and components.
* Experience in detailed design including wiring, containment, as-built drawings, scaffolding, and fall arrest/wor restraint.
* Proficiency with PC software tools such as MS Office, AutoCAD, PV*SOL/PVSyst, and modelling software, with willingness to learn new tools.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation related to HSSE, construction, and services installation.
* Understanding and training in CDM responsibilities.
