Overview
DOORCO in Macclesfield is growing and we are currently seeking an additional HGV driver to join our busy Transport team. The position will suit individuals who enjoy a variety of work within transport and driving. The roles involve predominantly working in our 3.5T curtain sided vans and 26T rigid HGVs, so a Type C licence is required as a minimum. Working nationally, the role offers significant opportunity for development. We are looking for people who are hardworking, flexible and enjoy working closely with customers. Our induction and in-house training will support your transition to a new industry with lots of potential.
A day in the life of a DOORCO Delivery Driver will include working in a fast-paced family-owned company, facilitating the delivery of manufactured doors to trade customers, with customer service at the heart of our business.
Responsibilities
* Be the face of the business, interacting with customers daily; be well presented and customer‑oriented.
* Be responsible for your load being safe and secure, including the completion of all relevant paperwork.
* Be able to work on your own initiative and be willing to work flexibly to achieve customer runs.
* Follow the usual standard working hours (06:00–15:00) with overtime available.
Requirements
* Valid driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points.
* Experience of driving delivery vehicles; class 2 licence required.
* A strong work ethic and excellent customer communication skills.
