Job overview

An opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Primary & Community Development Officer to join the NHSE South West Region Primary, Community and Personalised Care Team. The post-holder will provide administrative support across a range of deliverables specifically for the Primary, Community and Personalised Care Team.

We seek an enthusiastic, motivated, and proactive individual capable of working independently across diverse priority areas. This role requires thriving in a complex environment, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to prioritise. The role involves liaison with wider teams, offering exposure to a range of experience. We will provide support and development opportunities, helping you to achieve your potential.


Main duties of the job

* Function as a point of contact for the Primary Community and Personalised Care (PCPC) Team, dealing and responding effectively with complex and sensitive information from a wide range of stakeholders.
* Monitoring and managing the generic PCPC mailbox, dealing with queries, internally and externally, for the three PCPC Portfolios/Programmes: Urgent Response and Acute Deterioration, Intermediate and Long-Term Care and Preventative and Pro-active Care.
* Prepare agendas, take meeting action notes, track, and follow up on actions and distribute action notes of meetings.
* Provide support to PCPC team meetings, including organising meetings, booking rooms, and ensuring papers are ready and distributed for meetings.
* Managing the electronic diary for the Directors as agreed.
* Working together with other PCPC team administrators to provide an effective network of communication including dealing with visitors and being flexible to cover other PCPC team administrators’ general duties.
* Provide efficient and effective administrative support to the members of the PCPC team.


Person specification


Qualifications

* Educated to NVQ Level 4 in a relevant subject or equivalent level of qualification or significant equivalent previous proven experience.


Experience

* Experience of drafting general correspondence. Intermediate knowledge of IT programmes and platforms such as Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint.
* Adaptability, flexibility, and ability to cope with uncertainty and change.
* Able to undertake duties effectively and accurately, working on own initiative unsupervised, within defined policies and procedures to set timescales.
* Experience of collaborating remotely with a team who are geographically based across multiple locations across the region and nationally.
* Experience of working in a healthcare or public sector environment.


Skills

* Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise work and manage stakeholder expectations.
* Ability to work at pace in a busy working environment and able to multi-task.
