About the Role
To be employed in this role you must pass an enhanced safeguarding check. Our stores operate 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, with a wide variety of shift patterns. Weekend working is a requirement of the role. Our in‑store Pharmacies are hugely popular with customers and they expect warmth, friendliness and confidence when discussing personal health issues, quickly resolving problems and recommending the right products. You will assemble and process prescriptions accurately, drive awareness of all the extra services we offer in Pharmacy (e.g. Prescription Collection Service, Medicines Use Reviews, etc.), and support the Pharmacist in delivering and recording patient services such as blood pressure checks and stop‑smoking schemes. You will learn and adhere to strict Standard Operating Procedures, collect patients’ prescriptions from their doctors on their behalf, and bring them to the store ready for collection. You will complete an accredited course to become a qualified Medicine Counter Assistant within six months and then train as a Dispensing Assistant, progressing your pharmacy training and bringing added value to our service.

You are naturally friendly, highly organized and eager to dive in, working with your team to deliver great results. You have good computer skills, strong attention to detail and communicate well with customers. You love problem‑solving and are passionate about helping people, enhancing the healthcare experience, guiding customers to what they need and engaging in friendly chats.
