Job Description:
The Analyst - Data Centre Operations will support the deployment, operation, and management of customer data centers. Reporting to the Manager - Data Centre Operations, responsibilities include managing racks, data cabling, power, hardware installation, circuit setup, media handling, and supporting customer needs on the data center floor.
Please note: A full clean UK driving license is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide operational support to customers at Redcentric sites, including communication and face-to-face interaction.
* Manage maintenance records using prescribed systems such as ticketing and tracking tools.
* Conduct site work including audits, cabling, cross connects, decommissioning, and tape rotation.
* Maintain physical hosting infrastructure, including racks, patch panels, data and power trays, and cross connects.
* Assist in maintaining site appearance and functionality, including cleanliness and mechanical/electrical support.
* Communicate with customers to coordinate support and setup requirements and assist internal teams as needed.
* Collaborate with colleagues in a professional manner aligned with company values.
* Manage Service Desk communications, including calls and emails from customers.
Security Responsibilities
* Adhere to security policies and procedures, ensuring data protection and preventing unauthorized access.
* Report security issues promptly to relevant personnel.

Qualifications and Professional Membership
* Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) - Desirable
* Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) - Desirable
* ITIL V3 - Desirable
Technical Competencies
* Minimum one year experience in a similar role, such as in Business Continuity or Managed Services - Essential
* Experience handling and storing customer data - Essential
* Understanding of data cabling installation and management - Essential
* Experience with ticketing systems - Essential
* Understanding of IT systems - Essential
* Rack installation - Desirable
* Customer service experience - Desirable
